You can add a decorative spigot to your barrel carving for added charm and authenticity.  You can even have us install a modern faucet, tap handle and shank which mates up with your back bar equipment so that you can dispense wine, beer or other beverages from it.  If you have your own faucet, or plan to procure one, we can cut the appropriate holes in the barrel head and backing for you.  Here’s more detail on these options.
1) Hardwood Spigot
Our hardwood spigots are approximately 6″ long, and designed to protrude from the face of the barrel head about 4″. Â Though they are fully functional, we do not recommend you use them to dispense beverages from your barrel head. Â Below is a photo of an entire spigot and one of a spigot installed in a tenth barrel carving. Note there may be slight variations in the design and appearance of these spigots.

2) Authentic Antique Brass Spigot
We scour the planet for these authentic antique brass spigots which we find mostly in Europe. Â They have been used to dispense beer, wine or other beverages from old barrels and casks, and come in a variety of styles and sizes, averaging about 6″ long. Â These spigots are most likely to be fully functional, but again we do not recommend you use them to dispense beverages from your barrel head. Â Below are photos of representative styles, and a photo of one installed in a tenth barrel.
3) Modern Beer-On-Tap or Wine-On-Tap Faucet
This option is for you if you intend to dispense beer, wine or other beverage from your barrel head. Â We install a new modern beverage faucet with your choice of tap handle, and a short “shank”. Â The shank mounts in a hole in the barrel head and connects on the back to your beverage line, and on the front to your faucet. Â For this option we also provide an access hole in the barrel head backing so that you have access to connect your beverage lines. Â You will need to provide the back bar environment including a wall mounting surface with a means to route the supply line through. Â Faucets and tap handles are available in a wide variety of styles and materials. Â However our standard offering is a high quality chrome-plated brass faucet, with either a simple black plastic or chrome-plated tap handle, and a short brass shank to mate with your 1/4″ supply lines. Â If you want something different than this, please contact us.
4) Spigot and Access Holes Only
If you have, or plan to procure, your own modern faucet system, select this option to have us drill the hole for the shank (generally 1″ in diameter), and cut a large access hole in the barrel head backing so you can connect your supply line to the shank.
