Logos and other 2-dimensional graphic artwork such as personal & ranch brands, monograms and a huge variety of both free and paid “clip art” can make very attractive design elements in our barrel carvings, clocks, table tops and stave signs. For more information on carvings of 2d artwork see this article.
Here’s a short “how-to” if you want us to incorporate your logo or other graphic design into a carving.

What to Send
The best form of artwork for us to work with is a vector graphics file (usually with extensions of .eps, .ai or .pdf). Vector graphics are infinitely scalable which means they can be enlarged to any size without loss of resolution. If your logo or other artwork was created by a professional graphic artist, chances are they created a vector graphics version.
The next best form of artwork for us to work with is a high resolution bitmap file (usually with a .jpeg, .jpg, .gif, .png, .tif, .bmp extension). These are not infinitely scalable, but if the resolution is high enough we can enlarge it to the size of the carving and still have a crisp, clean image from which we can get a high quality carving. You can determine this yourself by zooming the image to about the size you’d like the carving to be on your computer screen using most any image viewing tool. If the image is still crisp and clear it will work for us. If its fuzzy and “pixelated”, its not high enough resolution for us to get a clean carving from without having to digitally redraw or clean-up the image, which may add cost.
If you only have a low resolution bitmap, a hand-drawn image or a photo of your graphic we can probably work with that, especially for simpler designs like ranch brands and monograms.  For more complex graphic designs we may need to charge you an additional fee to re-create or clean up your artwork enough to get a quality carving. We would communicate clearly with you about this if that is the case. Full gradient photographs of real world objects are generally not suitable for making carvings, though even then we may be able to accommodate you once we understand your vision.
Finally, since carvings of most 2D artwork (unlike 3D carvings) need to be painted in order to match the logo or graphic colors, and to provide sufficient contrast and look good, we’ll need a full color image of the artwork, and/or your guidance on painting it.
